Inverter chargers combine a pure sine wave inverter, battery charger and automatic AC transfer switch in one unit. They supply AC power from batteries and recharge them using compatible grid, shore power or generator sources, automatically switching to inverter operation when external AC power is unavailable. The selection includes Victron MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro and Multi RS, Studer Xtender, XPC+ and next1, and OutBack FXR/VFXR inverter chargers for 12V, 24V and 48V battery systems. These products are used in off-grid photovoltaic installations, boats, motorhomes and stationary backup power systems.
